Welcome & Introductions
& Introduction to Retreat Day (Sr Cooey)

11.00 am
Ice-breakers to support participants get to know one another

11.15 am
‘Being friends with Jesus’
– Sr Cooey’s first presentation & workshop

12 noon
The Angelus followed by stretch-break

12.15 pm
‘Finding the courage to be true friends’
– Sr Cooey’s second presentation and workshop

13.00 pm
Lunch
– All participants to bring pack lunch. Tea / Coffee, Orange, Blackcurrant etc. will be provided.

13.30 pm
Games Challenge!
– Some interactive fun!

13.45 pm
Arts & Craft worshop with Srs Cooey & Sr Hyacinthe
– We will make something we can bring home!

14.15 pm
‘The Holy Spirit in the lives of Jesus’ friends’
– Sr Cooey’s third presentation and workshop

14.45 pm
Mass preparation and availability of Sacrament of Reconciliation

15.10 pm
Retreat Mass, including renewal of Pioneer Pledge for Young and Adult Pioneers

15.55 pm

Retreat day can accommodate twenty-five young people (and accompanying adults).

Cost

Suggested donation:  €10 per young person & €5 per accompanying adult.

Retreat Leader

Sr Cooey Fowler OP

Sr Cooey lives with her fellow Dominican Sisters of St Joseph in St. Dominic’s Priory,  Lymington, England.  She is a native of County Down and a graduate of St Mary’s University College Belfast. 

Before joining the Dominican Sisters of St. Joseph in 2019 she taught Religious Studies for more than ten years in secondary schools in the USA, England and Ireland. 

In addition to supporting her community in a variety of ways, Sr Cooey works as a Catechist, and as a trainer of Catechists.  She has much experience of leading retreats and summer camps for young people.
